The aircraft spent 3.5 hours in the air. According to the results of the flight, the operation of the systems was rated positively, the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) said. In total, two experienced MC-21 aircraft will take part in the import substitution program.

The first aircraft received a Russian avionics complex, a domestic auxiliary power unit, pressure regulation systems and air conditioning, aircraft system control panels and lighting equipment. Domestic components were included in the hydraulic system, power supply and chassis.

The second aircraft is preparing to start ground certification tests in Irkutsk. Foreign systems and components, ranging from an integrated control system and power supply system to fuel level sensors and bearings, have been replaced with domestic ones.

Earlier www1.ru reported that the MC-21-310 aircraft will "lose weight" by hundreds of kilograms thanks to new materials.
