New satellite images of the Russian strategic aviation airbase in the city of Engels, Saratov region, have appeared online. The images show that Tu-95MS and Tu-160 bombers are still protected by rubber tires.
The photos also show painted silhouettes of strategic bombers.
In May, military experts began talking about the need to build concrete shelters for strategic aviation aircraft.
It is known from open sources that as of 2021, the total number of Tu-160 strategic missile carriers in service with Long-Range Aviation is 16 units. The number of Tu-95 strategic bombers is approximately 20 units.
