A two-meter drone for agricultural land cultivation was showcased at the "Kaluga Field Day." This device is capable of spraying plants, applying fertilizers, and combating weeds in hard-to-reach areas where a tractor cannot go.
The drone's dimensions are about 2.5 meters diagonally, with a carrying capacity of up to 70 kg. Controlled flight is possible up to a distance of 4 km, after which the drone continues to operate autonomously.
The authorities of the Kaluga region are considering the possibility of creating an entire squadron of such drones to improve the efficiency of agriculture. Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) will be used to monitor agricultural land and cultivate crops. The squadron is planned to be created on the basis of a machine-technological station, where operator training will also begin.
