At Yakutia Airlines, aviation technicians have independently repaired an SSJ-100 aircraft for the first time, according to VestiSakha TV channel.
The work on the SSJ-100 was carried out in their hangar, designed for three aircraft, as Yakutia Airlines received a certificate from the manufacturer, Yakovlev Design Bureau.
The aircraft underwent routine maintenance after 7,500 flight hours, which was fully carried out by the airline's own forces and specially trained personnel for the first time.
Yakutia Airlines noted that this approach significantly reduces repair costs and moves the airline forward specifically in terms of technical maintenance.
As part of the repair work, which lasted four months, maintenance was carried out on the engines, fuselage, landing gear, control system, and other onboard systems and units of the aircraft.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that the import-substituted SJ-100 aircraft have completed half of the certification program.
