In the Moscow region's Zhukovsky airport, the SJ-100 aircraft with domestic systems (No. 97001) was tested for stability and controllability, avionics operation, and integrated control system at speeds and Mach numbers above the limit. This was reported by the United Aircraft Corporation (part of Rostec).
During the flight, the aircraft reached a speed of 334 knots (~619 km/h) and a Mach number of 0.87, which is 24 knots and 0.05 Mach number greater than the maximum permissible.
The test flight was accompanied by experts from the Aviation Register of the Russian Federation and the certification center of GosNII GA. The test results were evaluated as positive.
The aircraft demonstrated the necessary stability and controllability characteristics and reliable operation of systems and algorithms, noted in UAC.
