Gorbachev recalled that neither the equipment, nor the aircraft itself, nor the engines have been certified.
It is unknown how long all these tests will take. The transition to domestic aircraft is correct, but they simply do not physically exist yet.
He suggested that the MC-21 may start production in 2026, but at a maximum of five units per year.
Even if we produce 10 aircraft, it will take 20 years to replace the foreign aircraft fleet. We are not particularly happy yet, we are flying on what we have.
