A new branch of the armed forces, unmanned systems, will appear in the Russian Armed Forces for the first time. This was announced by the President of the Russian Federation at a meeting on Thursday.
According to him, drones are actively used for reconnaissance, mining and demining of terrain, counter-battery and electronic warfare.
The effectiveness of their use is constantly growing. In this regard, I note that we are now creating unmanned systems troops as a separate branch of the military. And it is necessary to ensure their development, the fastest and highest quality deployment.
The head of state stressed that Russia has accumulated good experience in creating such a type of troops. We are talking about personnel training, about the production and supply of modern equipment capable of strengthening the combat capabilities of the army.
