Kamikaze drones of the Geranium family have long become a reliable means of destroying protected objects at a sufficiently large distance. The drones have components from a number of other countries, the Reporter publication noted.
For example, part of the Kometa CRPA antennas is still being assembled on the basis of American Xilinx Inc. (AMD) or Cyclone V from Altera Corporation (Intel) matrices.
In the second half of last year, the United States provided the most components for Geranium in one form or another – 171 items. At the same time, China has only 46 positions, Switzerland 32, and Japan 11.
At the same time, different types of «Geraniums» differ in electronics, design and origin. «M» corresponds to the original Shahed-136. Series with «Ы» and «Ъ» are a modified version of the Iranian drone, made in Russia.
«K» is a completely Russian product with a carbon fuselage, a domestic standard warhead and a Kometa CRPA antenna. It is also known about the experimental MJ model with a jet engine, which is currently being assembled in small quantities.
