Rostec enterprises are working on the development of a new line of military transport aircraft — new super-heavy and light-class aircraft. This was reported in the state corporation.
The main workhorse today is the Il-76MD-90A, which is produced at the facilities of the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC). This machine is a deep development of the legendary Soviet Il-76.
It received a new engine, an improved wing, modern avionics, and has an increased flight range and payload. In fact, this is a new aircraft that meets all modern requirements. This year, new vehicles will enter the troops as part of the state defense order.
At the same time, our aircraft manufacturers are working on creating a whole line of military transport aircraft – new super-heavy and light-class aircraft. Competencies in the creation of transport workers are traditionally concentrated in PJSC "Il", where the design school of Sergei Ilyushin continues to develop.
Earlier www1.ru reported that unique saberlets have been developed for the wing of the SJ-100 Superjet: they reduced the speed during landing approach.
