Scientists have developed a program to create a psychological profile of a serial killer. This was announced by the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Legal Forum.
Currently, artificial intelligence helps in certain aspects of the investigator's work. For example, our scientists have developed a program designed to build a profile of a serial killer.
According to the head of the IC, the database was created after analyzing many similar cases.
He also noted that there are video surveillance systems capable of recognizing stolen cars, voices, and much more.
Digital technologies are already actively used in the work of investigators, forensic scientists, and experts. They significantly facilitate and accelerate their work.
The collection and analysis of data obtained during investigative activities, work at the crime scene, the search and identification of objects invisible to the human eye, as well as various examinations are carried out using computer, forensic, and other specialized tools.
Earlier, Bastrykin said that artificial intelligence cannot replace an investigator during interrogation. The profession of investigator requires personal qualities that only a human can possess.
