The modernized anti-aircraft missile system (SAM) «Buk-MB-2K» with a new missile will be presented at the MILEX-2025 exhibition in Minsk. This was reported by the State Military-Industrial Committee of the republic.
The new 9M318 missile allows intercepting ballistic and cruise missiles, aircraft, as well as helicopters in hovering mode. In addition, the missile can engage surface and ground radio-contrast targets.
The focus is on the Buk-MB-2K SAM system with the first domestic 9M318 anti-aircraft guided missile — a new generation weapon for reliable protection against modern threats. The use of the newly developed 9M318 anti-aircraft guided missile allows increasing the engagement zone of the Buk-MB2 SAM system to 70 km.
The 9M318 missile received an active homing head, which increases the probability of hitting low-visibility targets and allows freeing up the target channel of the complex.
You can see the BUK-MB-2K SAM system with the first domestic 9M318 anti-aircraft guided missile at the International Exhibition of Armaments and Military Equipment MILEX-2025. It will be held from May 21 to 24 at the Minsk International Exhibition Center BELEXPO.
