An experienced prototype of the MC-21 medium-range aircraft, equipped with new Russian systems and units, made a non-stop flight from Irkutsk to the "Ramenskoye" airfield in the city of Zhukovsky, Moscow region.
At the flight test and development complex of PJSC "Yakovlev", the aircraft will be prepared for certification tests as part of the import substitution program.
The aircraft was piloted by a reinforced crew consisting of test pilot Hero of Russia Oleg Kononenko, test pilot Hero of Russia Roman Taskaev and Honored Test Pilot of the Russian Federation Andrei Voropaev, as well as leading flight test engineers Nikolai Fonurin, Alexander Popov, Oleg Berezin and Alexander Soloviev.
The flight time was 6 hours 8 minutes, it took place at an altitude of 11,000 m and at a speed of up to 800 km/h.
