The Pantsir-S anti-aircraft missile and gun system (SAMG) used a new anti-aircraft missile for the first time during the repulse of a drone raid. The military hit an An-196 drone with a 57E6M missile.
The new missile differs from the basic version with a kinetic warhead and an increased range of up to 40 km. Roughly speaking, the 57E6M destroys the target with a direct hit.
The Pantsir SAMG is designed for close cover of military and civilian facilities from air attack weapons. The complex's arsenal includes 12 anti-aircraft missiles and two twin-barreled 30 mm cannons.
«Pantsir» is equipped with a multi-channel target acquisition and tracking system.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Uralvagonzavod delivered seven of the latest T-90 "Proryv" tanks of the 2024 model to the military.
