The State Transport Leasing Company (GTLK) intends to recover from the Sredne-Nevsky Shipbuilding Plant (SNSZ, part of the United Shipbuilding Corporation) a penalty of 351 million rubles for delaying the delivery of the Viktor Astafyev passenger ship. The plant promised to complete the work in the summer of 2023, but the vessel has not yet been handed over to the customer.
When the delay in the delivery of the ship became obvious, GTLK concluded an additional agreement with SNSZ to postpone the deadline for the transfer of the ship to the customer to November 30, 2024.
However, the Arbitration Court of the Moscow District considered that the very fact that the customer agreed to postpone the delivery date does not remove responsibility for what happened from the shipbuilders, and sent the case for a new trial.
SNSZ is the manufacturer of the latest Project 12700 Alexandrite-class minesweepers. At the end of April, the company launched the ship "Polyarny".
Earlier www1.ru reported that the Ministry of Defense demanded to recover almost a million rubles from Voentorg in a new lawsuit.
