The State Transport Leasing Company (GTLK) intends to recover from the Sredne-Nevsky Shipbuilding Plant (SNSZ, part of the United Shipbuilding Corporation) a penalty of 351 million rubles for delaying the delivery of the passenger ship "Viktor Astafyev". The plant promised to complete the work in the summer of 2023, but the vessel has not yet been handed over to the customer.
When the delay in the delivery of the ship became obvious, GTLK concluded an additional agreement with SNSZ to postpone the date of transfer of the ship to the customer to November 30, 2024.
However, the Arbitration Court of the Moscow District considered that the very fact that the customer agreed to postpone the delivery date does not remove responsibility for what happened from the shipbuilders, and sent the case for a new trial.
SNSZ is the manufacturer of the newest Project 12700 "Alexandrite" class minesweepers. At the end of April, the "Polyarny" ship was launched at the enterprise.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the Ministry of Defense demanded to recover almost a million rubles from "Voentorg" in a new lawsuit.
