USC Announces Construction of New Shipyards in the Northwest and Far East

Large-scale project will increase production capacity in shipbuilding

United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC) has announced the selection of sites for the construction of two new shipyards. Andrei Buzinov, First Deputy General Director of USC, said that one of the shipyards will be located in the Northwest on the basis of the "Severnaya Verf". The second facility will appear in the Far East.

Buzinov emphasized that a shipyard with increased production capacity will be built in the Northwest. When the project will be implemented is still unknown.

The second facility will be built in Proмежуточная Bay in Vladivostok. Construction has been approved by the president. The site is currently being organized.

The new shipyards will not only increase shipbuilding volumes in Russia, but also create additional jobs in the regions.

Thus, USC is taking steps to strengthen Russia's position in the shipbuilding industry, which could have a positive impact on the country's economy as a whole.
