The "High-Precision Systems" holding (part of Rostec) has increased the production of modernized UTD-29 diesel engines for airborne combat vehicles, infantry fighting vehicles, armored personnel carriers, and other equipment. This was reported to journalists in the holding.
Since the beginning of the year, the volume of deliveries of units to the customer has increased by more than 25% compared to last year.
The holding noted that simultaneously with the increase in production volumes of UTD-29, "High-Precision Systems" are honing the technical and operational characteristics of new diesel models. In the near future, they will become available for mass production.
UTD-29 is installed on BMP-2, BMP-3, BREM-L, BTR-MDM, BMD-4M, and BT-3F. The engine power is 500 hp, which is 200 hp more powerful than its predecessor. In addition to operating on diesel fuel, UTD-29 can be refueled with kerosene and gasoline.
