The United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) published a video on the morning of April 23 of the test flight of the fully import-substituted SJ-100 "Superjet". Despite the obvious advantages of the aircraft, the star of the video was the fourth-generation Su-30 multirole fighter that accompanied it in the air.
The combat aircraft had to move at the same speed — about 200 km/h. To do this, the 24-ton Su-30 tilted its nose up and, prancing like a circus horse, flew relying on the jet stream. Such tricks are usually demonstrated by aerobatic teams, but here it is a production necessity.
The "Superjet" was piloted by a crew led by the experienced test pilot Sergei Zavalkin. The plane took off from the airfield in Komsomolsk-on-Amur and spent 40 minutes in the air, confirming the stable operation of domestic systems and working out the assigned program.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that ODK has started designing aircraft engines using domestic software.
