Aircraft developer PJSC "Yakovlev"showed a video of the first flight of the fully import-substituted SJ-100 with domestic PD-8 engines in Komsomolsk-on-Amur.
During the tests, the aircraft confirmed the stable operation of all domestic systems. The aircraft demonstrated good handling and stability in the air.
The aircraft took to the sky with Russian PD-8 engines. The flight lasted about 40 minutes, it took place at altitudes up to 3000 meters and speeds up to 500 km/h.
Certification tests are planned to be completed by the end of 2025, in order to start deliveries of the aircraft to airlines from 2026.
In addition, as part of the import substitution work, the "Superjet" was equipped with domestic avionics, landing gear, auxiliary power unit, control systems, power supply, air conditioning, fire protection and others.
The aircraft also received a new fuselage, which has been modified to simplify the production and maintenance of the aircraft.
The "Superjet" was piloted by a crew led by the experienced test pilot Sergei Zavalkin. The aircraft took off from the airfield in Komsomolsk-on-Amur andspent 40 minutes in the air, confirming the stable operation of domestic systems and working out the assigned program.
