A fully import-substituted version of the Superjet SJ-100 aircraft has received a new fuselage, which incorporates changes that simplify the production and maintenance of the aircraft. This was reported by the press service of Rostec.

As part of the import substitution efforts, the Superjet has been equipped with domestic avionics, an auxiliary power unit, landing gear, control systems, air conditioning, power supply, fire protection, and other systems.

The import-substituted Superjet was created in an extremely short time. It is planned to complete certification tests by the end of this year in order to start deliveries to airlines from 2026.

On Wednesday, April 23, the aircraft took to the skies with Russian PD-8 engines, which replaced the Franco-Russian SaM146 under the wing.

The Superjet was piloted by a crew led by the experienced test pilot Sergei Zavalkin. The aircraft took off from the airfield in Komsomolsk-on-Amur and spent 40 minutes in the air, confirming the stable operation of domestic systems and completing the assigned program.

Earlier www1.ru reported that ODK has started designing aircraft engines using domestic software.
