According to recent Mediascope studies, 85% of Russians access the Internet at least once a month, and 84% do so daily. Pavel Mordaev, Head of Customer Support at the company, noted that on average, a person spends 4.5 hours a day online.
Researchers have found that the Internet has already surpassed television in terms of frequency and duration of use. Although 99% of Russians watch television at least once a month, only 65% do so daily. Mordaev emphasized that the time spent on the Internet exceeds the time spent watching TV.
Thus, 100% of Russians aged 12 to 55 use the Internet. In the future, an increase in the number of Internet users among people over 55 is expected.
In 2024, Yandex and Google were among the leaders in terms of attendance among Russian Internet users. WhatsApp surpassed YouTube in attendance, increasing both monthly reach and average daily audience. At the same time, "Дзен" lost a significant number of users, which experts attribute to VK's focus on developing its video platforms and "Одноклассники."
