According to the latest Mediascope research, 85% of Russians access the internet at least once a month, and 84% do so daily. Pavel Mordayev, Head of Customer Support at the company, noted that on average, a person spends 4.5 hours a day online.
Researchers have found that the Internet has already surpassed television in terms of frequency and duration of use. Although 99% of Russians watch television at least once a month, only 65% do so daily. Mordayev emphasized that the time spent on the internet exceeds the time spent watching TV.
For example, 100% of surveyed Russians aged 12 to 55 use the Internet. In the future, the number of World Wide Web users among people over 55 is expected to grow.
In 2024, Yandex and Google were among the leaders in terms of attendance among Russian Internet users. WhatsApp surpassed YouTube in attendance, increasing both monthly reach and average daily audience. At the same time, "Дзен" lost a significant number of users, which experts attribute to VK's focus on developing its video platforms and "Одноклассники".
