The Mordovian IT company "Foxhound" has announced a large-scale multiplayer racing game called "Off-Road Commanders" — a project where gamers can compete against each other in legendary Russian trucks, overcoming harsh tracks across the country's picturesque landscapes. The development is supported by local authorities.
Players will become commanders of rally crews, tuning their vehicles and completing stages of competitions online. The routes will pass through such corners of Russia as the Volga region, Western Siberia, the Altai Mountains, the Barguzin tract, and the Putorana Plateau. The game provides for variability in passing tracks, "upgrading" the technical characteristics of cars, and developing driving skills.
An extensive customization system is expected: from stickers on the body and epoxy filling of the gear lever to decorations such as braids and even carpets on the seats. One of the inspiring elements is the story of how engineers turned the KAMAZ-4310 into a sports champion.
"Off-Road Commanders" will combine hardcore and arcade elements, remaining accessible to beginners, but at the same time interesting and demanding to attention, studying routes and technical features of trucks.
