Workers of the Southern Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Center (Astrakhan) moved the semi-blocks of the floating dock project 24012 "Vladimir Emelyanov" to the central slipway. The active phase of construction has begun. This was reported by the press service of the United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC).
Four semi-blocks weighing from 700 to 970 tons were transported to the central slipway for further enlargement, formation into blocks, saturation with equipment and completion works. The movement was carried out on self-propelled modular transporters.
The floating dock "Vladimir Emelyanov" is designed for launching ships, performing dock inspections, repair and painting works of the underwater part. The Southern Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Center is fulfilling the order of the Severnaya Verf shipyard.
Technical characteristics of ships of project 24012: greatest length — 189.6 m; length along the slipway deck — 177.6 m; dock width — 62 m; board height — 24.3 m; lifting capacity — 25 thousand tons; maximum immersion depth — 20.64 m; crew — 21 people
