Workers at the Southern Shipbuilding and Ship Repair Center (Astrakhan) have moved the semi-blocks of the floating dock of project 24012 "Vladimir Emelyanov" to the central slipway. The active phase of construction has begun. This was reported by the press service of the United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC).
Four semi-blocks weighing from 700 to 970 tons were transported to the central slipway for further enlargement, formation into blocks, saturation with equipment and completion work. The movement took place on self-propelled modular transporters.
The floating dock «Vladimir Emelyanov» is designed for launching ships, performing dock inspections, repair and painting of underwater parts. The Southern Ship Repair and Shipbuilding Center is fulfilling the order of the Severnaya Verf shipyard.
Technical characteristics of ships of project 24012: overall length — 189.6 m; length along the slipway deck — 177.6 m; dock width — 62 m; board height — 24.3 m; lifting capacity — 25 thousand tons; maximum immersion depth — 20.64 m; crew — 21 people
