Shipbuilders of the Rybinsk Shipyard (part of the Kalashnikov concern) showed potential customers from the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug and the Arctic the "Khaska-10" hovercraft with flexible skegs. The demonstration took place on the ice of the Rybinsk Reservoir. This was reported by the press service of the concern.
The "Khaska-10" was developed by specialists from the Rybinsk Shipyard. Its sea trials were completed in 2024. The vessel can move at a speed of 40 knots at air temperatures up to -50 °C. It is considered an alternative to air transport for delivering goods to settlements in the Far North.
Potential customers of the vessel may include the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, oil and gas companies, as well as the Arctic and subarctic regions of the Russian Federation.
