Russian telecom operator MTS has announced the abolition of roaming tariffs in Crimea and Sevastopol. This was reported by the company's press service.

In the near future, the operator will finalize its IT systems. This will allow subscribers to use communication services on the peninsula in the same way as in their home region.
For private subscribers, roaming will be abolished no later than May 31, 2025, and for corporate subscribers, no later than June 30. After the completion of technical improvements, MTS subscribers traveling to Crimea and Sevastopol will be able to use call minutes, SMS, and gigabytes from their package tariff or pay for communication services according to standard rates.
The Federal Antimonopoly Service of the Russian Federation (FAS) noted that MTS was the last of the "big four" operators to maintain an additional fee for subscribers on the peninsula.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Megafon and Yota abolished roaming in Crimea and Sevastopol from February 28.
