The hull for assembling the light multipurpose aircraft LMS-901 "Baikal" in Komsomolsk is planned to be built by the end of the year. This was reported by "Vesti.Khabarovsk."
The construction of the facility is currently in an active phase, the concreting of the foundations has been completed, and water supply and sewerage pipelines, as well as metal structures for the building frame, have been delivered to the site.
Production of aircraft and a regional aviation center are planned to be created in the territory of advanced development.
Certification of the engine for the "Baikal" is scheduled for 2025. In 2026, it is planned to complete certification with this engine and a new propeller for the "Baikal" aircraft itself, and serial deliveries should start at the same time.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that a unified maintenance system for "Baikal", "Osvei", and "Ladoga" aircraft will appear in Russia.
