The cost of the regional aircraft "Baikal" at the start of mass deliveries will not exceed 280 million rubles, the figure was agreed with the developer of the aircraft, the "Ural Civil Aviation Plant" (UZGA). This was announced by the Deputy Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Gennady Abramenkov.
According to him, at the last negotiations, the parties announced a figure of 400 million rubles instead of the previous 450 million.
This figure also does not suit us at all, UZGA guaranteed delivery at no more than 280 million rubles.
The Deputy Head of the department recalled that the Ministry of Industry and Trade recently announced a competition for the implementation of the second part of the development work on the "Baikal" due to identified comments on the design of the machine. In particular, there were claims regarding the stabilization systems and the longitudinal control channel.
Engine certification is scheduled for 2025. In 2026 it is planned to complete certification with this engine and a new propeller of the "Baikal" aircraft itself, and mass deliveries should start at the same time.
Earlier www1.ru reported that 200 aircraft will be built in Russia by 2030: there are guaranteed buyers with money.
