The Russian MC-21 passenger aircraft will become the future flagship of domestic aircraft engineering. This was stated by the head of the state corporation, Sergei Chemezov.
According to him, the aircraft has many technical innovations, including a wing made of composites.
MC-21 is, without a doubt, our future flagship. Higher level of comfort - increased windows, wide aisle between seats, spacious luggage racks. Its direct task is to win competition with Boeing and Airbus, at least in the domestic market.
MC-21 is a domestic project of a short- and medium-range passenger aircraft, which should replace Tu-204 and Tu-154 in the Russian market. It can also be an alternative to foreign-made aircraft.
