Primates to be cloned for development of new drugs and treatments in "Sirius"

Scientists will address the issue of improving the effectiveness of reproductive technologies for humans

A company that is a resident of the Sirius Innovation and Technology Center (INTC) plans to conduct experiments on cloning primates to create new drugs and treatments. In particular, scientists intend to focus on improving the effectiveness of reproductive technologies for humans.

Scientists plan to use them to study the processes of embryo development and genetic diseases. The data obtained will be used to develop new drugs and test treatments.

According to Alexander Kuznetsov, CEO of Artklontek, researchers intend to develop methods in experiments involving monkeys that will help increase the effectiveness of reproductive technologies for humans.

Today, one of the most important tasks is to increase the reproductive capacity of human embryos for the IVF procedure. Currently, the effectiveness of embryo transfer varies from 40 to 60%, and in some cases the process becomes extremely complex, forcing repeated expensive procedures.

Earlier, a virtual human cell was created in Sirius, which will allow scientists to test their hypotheses without using living organisms.
