Before being sent to foreign recipients, there should be enough airliners for the domestic transportation market

Russian Superjet SJ-100 and MC-21 aircraft can be exported to friendly countries, but first of all they must satisfy domestic demand. This was stated by a former pilot, French aviation expert Cyril de Lattre.

Superjet and other new Russian projects, in my opinion, first of all, should saturate the country's domestic market, satisfy its urgent needs and help get rid of foreign aircraft. As for the export of Superjet directly, it can be supplied, first of all, to countries friendly to Russia.
Cyril de Lattre, aviation expert

The former pilot emphasized that Russia is unlikely to produce aircraft for export due to high demand in the domestic market.

MC-21 is a domestic project of a short- and medium-range passenger aircraft, which should replace the Tu-154 and the Tu-204 family on the Russian market. It will also be able to be an alternative to foreign-made aircraft.
