ОДК в ближайшее время испытает полностью импортозамещённый «Суперджет» с двигателями ПД-8

About 40 systems and units will be replaced in the aircraft

The United Engine Corporation (ODK) will soon begin testing the fully import-substituted Superjet SJ-100 aircraft. This was reported by Rostec.

On Monday, March 17, the first flight of the Superjet with domestic PD-8 engines took place. Thus, two aircraft of this type are already involved in flight tests: the first one with Russian-French SaM-146 engines and domestic systems on board, the second one with Russian engines under the wing and partially replaced equipment.

A third Superjet – fully import-substituted – will join the tests in the near future. This approach speeds up the testing process. In total, about 40 systems and units are to be replaced within the project.

The aircraft with the PD-8 power plant has joined flight tests - this is an important and long-awaited step towards the certification of a technologically independent version of the Superjet. The complete dedication and overcoming of all challenges by the engine builders allowed the aircraft to successfully complete its first flight on Russian engines. To intensify certification tests, the manufacturer plans to connect a third, fully Russian Superjet to them.
