Sinara Group, together with Russian Electric Motors, has developed a prototype power plant for the White Falcon high-speed train. In parallel, testing of the frame of a non-motorized bogie for the new train has begun. This was reported by the press service of Sinara company.
The frame design is calculated taking into account operating conditions in Russia at speeds up to 400 km/h. The frame is made of steel grade C355, which is able to maintain impact strength at low temperatures.
The design of the White Falcon train will include 36 new systems and more than 10 thousand components. Production is underway at the Ural Locomotives plant. More than 160 Russian enterprises, research institutes and design bureaus are involved in the development.
Key technologies of the project are high-speed electric motors, an improved chassis and friction systems for high speeds, as well as automatic driving based on artificial intelligence. A feature of the White Falcon will be its dual-system capability - the train will be able to operate on both direct and alternating current lines.
The planned operating speed of the train is 360 km/h. The first two White Falcon trains should be ready by 2028.
Earlier www1.ru reported that another possible design of the White Falcon train was presented.
