The new Sollers SF1 van model debuted at the Kazan Truck Expo. The car is equipped with a 1.5-liter JAC gasoline turbo engine (HFC4GB2-4E). The same engine is used in the Moskvich 3 crossover and the Moskvich 6 liftback, but in the case of the Sollers SF1, it is adapted for longitudinal installation.
Production of the model has already started in the Yelabuga district of Tatarstan. The sample presented at the exhibition has a Russian identification number, as well as localized Kama battery and tires. The SF1 is based on the JAC Refine M3, a utility vehicle with a rear leaf spring suspension, front torsion bar, solid axle and drum brakes.
The exhibition featured a pre-production prototype from a pilot batch. Mass production in Tatarstan will begin in the near future. The van is equipped with a 136 hp turbo engine and a 5-speed manual transmission. The Sollers SF1 is capable of carrying up to a ton of cargo with a gross weight of 2.49 tons, making it convenient for use in urban environments.
Sales of the Sollers SF1 will start in March, and the van is assembled on the same line as the Atlant models. In the fall, the production of the luxurious seven-seater Sollers SP7 minivan, which will cost from 5.5 million rubles, will begin on the same assembly line.
