According to the Объясняем.рф portal, the maximum range of the Oreshnik is 5,500 km. The missile is capable of carrying a warhead weighing up to 1.5 tons and developing a speed of up to Mach 10 (about 12,400 km/h). Putin emphasized that none of the existing missile defense systems is capable of shooting down the Oreshnik.
