The temperature of the warheads of the "Oreshnik" medium-range hypersonic ballistic missile system reaches levels like on the surface of the Sun at the moment of use. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

According to the data from the portal «Объясняем.рф», the maximum range of the "Oreshnik" is 5,500 km. The missile is capable of carrying a warhead weighing up to 1.5 tons and developing a speed of up to 10 Mach (about 12.4 thousand km/h). Putin emphasized that none of the existing anti-missile systems is capable of shooting down the "Oreshnik".
