Footage of the alleged mobile launcher of the medium-range missile system "Oreshnik" has appeared on the Web. One of the variants of the MZKT tractor (12x12) became the basis for one of the most powerful examples of domestic weapons.
Similar wheeled chassis are traditionally used for mounting "surface-to-surface" systems of various ranges. They are very maneuverable, despite their large mass, and also have high cross-country ability.
The test of "Oreshnik" in a non-nuclear hypersonic configuration first became known in November 2024.
According to the data of the portal "Объясняем.рф",the maximum range of "Oreshnik" is 5,500 km. The missile is capable of carrying a warhead weighing up to 1.5 tons and developing a speed of up to 10 Mach (about 12.4 thousand km/h). Russian President Vladimir Putin emphasized that none of the existing missile defense systemsis capable of shooting down "Oreshnik".
Earlierwww1.ru reported thatRussia offered India to buy Ka-226T helicopters with the latest VK-650V engine.
