Footage of a modernized BMP-2 infantry fighting vehicle with a makeshift mine trawl and additional mine protection for the bottom has appeared online. The novelty was developed by soldiers of one of the repair units.

The main threat to equipment on the battlefield is not only kamikaze drones, but also mines. It is not as easy to hit a moving vehicle with an electronic warfare system as it might seem. But when it is blown up and stalls, losing protection from UAVs, it is very easy to finish it off with a drone.
BMP-2 is a Soviet and Russian infantry fighting vehicle. It is designed to transport personnel of units, fire support, destruction of manpower, tanks and lightly armored vehicles of the enemy.
The main armament of the BMP-2 is a 30-mm 2A42 automatic cannon mounted in a two-seater rotating turret. A 7.62-mm PKT machine gun is paired with the cannon. A 9P135M launcher is located on the roof of the turret between the gunner's and commander's hatches.
