The Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT) has developed an innovative "Dronnel" system to reduce vibration on unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) weighing up to 5 kilograms, the university's press service reported.
In the future, it will eliminate the problem of laser jitter. This, in turn, will improve the quality of guidance and performance characteristics of drones.
The system includes a control unit, a vibration detector, and electromagnets operating in antiphase. This solution reduces the weight of drones by 40-50%.
This will make it possible to use light drones for complex tasks related to laser guidance for military and civilian purposes.
According to Artem Pyankov, head of the Environmental Monitoring and Ecology Center at MIPT, high accuracy of targeting is critical when performing military or industrial tasks. The development can improve the characteristics of drones, making them more reliable and accurate.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the newest drone positioning technology was developed for the Russian army.
