The Ministry of Defense of Russia showed footage of the combat work of the D-30 122 mm howitzer crew in tandem with the operator of the Orlan-10 unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). Thanks to interaction with aerial reconnaissance, the artillerymen are destroying camouflaged strongholds and concentrations of manpower.
During aerial reconnaissance, the Orlan-10 crew identified a concentration of enemy manpower and equipment in fortified positions camouflaged in a forest belt. Having received the coordinates, the crews successfully hit the targets.
In the troops, the D-30 received the nickname "Snow White" because its crew mainly consists of seven people.
