World premiere: Kalashnikov Group to present RPL-7 machine gun in Abu Dhabi

RPL-7 is designed to engage manpower and unarmored vehicles

The main Russian arms manufacturer, Kalashnikov Group, will present the latest 7.62-mm RPL-7 machine gun for the first time at the IDEX 2025 international arms and defense technology exhibition. The event will take place from February 17 to 21 in Abu Dhabi, the group's press service reported.

The RPL-7 belt-fed light machine gun is designed to engage manpower, firing points, and unarmored vehicles of the enemy. It is compatible with 7.62-mm 57-Н-231 cartridges, as well as tracer bullets T-45/T-45M. The machine gun is suitable for firing with both the left and right hand.

Optical and night sights, a laser pointer, a flashlight, and other devices can be installed on the machine gun. The basic kit includes a belt, a low-noise firing device (PMS), a detachable bipod, a front grip, machine gun belts, and boxes for cartridges.

  • Caliber — 7.62 mm
  • Sighting range — 800 m
  • Weight (without basic kit) — no more than 5.5 kg
  • Length in combat position — 1100 mm
  • Box for 80 cartridges
