India will present an upgraded MiG-29K carrier-based fighter with domestically produced onboard systems at the Aero India-2025 international air show, according to Defence.in.

The modernized MiG-29K has received a glass cockpit with the latest navigation equipment and targeting systems, designed to improve the aircraft's capabilities in the use of air-to-surface weapons.

The aircraft has also been adapted for the use of domestically and internationally produced missiles and guided bombs. However, the highlight of the upgrade is the new onboard computer developed by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL).

The MiG-29K is a multirole carrier-based fighter designed for patrolling, intercepting, and engaging aerial targets day and night, in simple and complex weather conditions, destroying surface or ground targets, providing air support for troops and landing parties, isolating combat areas, and conducting aerial reconnaissance.
