В АЕБ не исключили возвращения иностранных брендов на российский авторынок

AEB continues to interact with most foreign automakers

The Association of European Businesses (AEB) does not rule out the return of automotive brands from Europe to the Russian market. This was announced by Alexey Kalitsev, head of the AEB Automobile Manufacturers Committee.

You know, as an association, we do not comment on the policy or decision of each brand, but if I answer briefly, I would not rule out [the return of European brands to Russia] at all. In general, nothing can be ruled out now.
Alexey Kalitsev, head of the AEB Automobile Manufacturers Committee

Kalitsev noted that the situation is changing so rapidly that he does not rule out that it may change in the opposite direction. But the association continues to maintain communication with many brands. According to him, this inspires some optimism.

In 2024, more than 1.571 million new passenger cars were purchased in Russia, which is 48.4% more than the year before. The leading position in the market is held by the domestic brand Lada, which accounts for 28% of total sales.

In 2024, automobile production in Russia demonstrated significant growth. According to Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov, the country produced 30-40% more cars.
