Zala Aero (part of the Kalashnikov concern) has developed a new launcher (PU) for the loitering munition "Product 51". This is the largest type of munition in the Lancet series, which was usually launched from a PU based on a pickup truck or other high- проходимости vehicle.
The new PU design for "Product 51" is a compact and lightweight device that the Lancet operator can carry manually. This allows launching at a considerable distance from the location of the ground control station.
To prepare a compact launcher for operation, one person and no more than one minute of time are enough. Disassembly after launch is not required. Thus, the designers simplified and made the launch of the ammunition faster and safer.
Characteristics of the "Product 51" ammunition:
- Warhead type — high-explosive fragmentation/cumulative
- Fuze type — pre-contact/contact
- Engine type — electric
- Speed — over 80 km/h
