Минпромторг включил телеком-оборудование в реестр российской радиоэлектроники

New support measures from the Ministry of Industry and Trade will help manufacturers of domestic base stations and telecommunications equipment

The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia has included telecom equipment, including base stations, in the register of radio electronics for the first time. Thanks to this, manufacturers will receive preferential conditions for work.

The ministry is conducting an expert assessment of the "domestic origin" of equipment, and in the future, point criteria will be introduced, similar to those already applied to other categories of equipment. However, experts note that specialized microchips for telecom equipment, necessary to obtain points, are not available in Russia.

According to the ministry's order, signed on December 27 last year, the inclusion of base stations in the register will allow identifying this product as Russian for potential customers, such as telecom operators and providers. This will open access to state support and government orders for manufacturers.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade clarified that the process of including equipment in the register is carried out in accordance with the mechanism of Government Decree 878. For this, manufacturers only need to submit documents to the ministry and pass the examination of the interdepartmental expert council. The expert opinion will be valid for three years, and in the future, it is planned to introduce a more complex point-based assessment of "domestic origin."

Among the equipment recognized as Russian are the base stations of the company "Irteya", switches of "KNS Group" and access points of "Aquarius". However, the base stations of the company Yadro, for which 3.5 billion rubles were allocated from the budget, are not yet in the register. Yadro reported that their products meet the requirements and will be tested in 2025.

The General Director of "Irteya", Dmitry Lakontsev, noted that the company already uses domestic printed circuit boards and microchips, which will help to meet the point criteria.

The Director of the Association of Developers and Manufacturers of Electronics, Ivan Pokrovsky, believes that it is more important to maintain the current requirements for the Russian development of telecom equipment than to add new requirements for the use of Russian components, since specialized microchips are currently not available in Russia.
