The production of test versions of Lada Iskra has been suspended due to a shortage of parts, according to Avtograd News.
Until January 20, 2025, inclusive, Lada Iskra test vehicles will not be assembled on line number 5. There is a shortage of components, especially problems with interior plastic.
Production of the new Lada Iskra began in 2024 in limited volumes — a few units per day.
The base engine for the new Lada Iskra will be a 90-horsepower 1.6-liter unit paired with a five-speed manual gearbox. There is also a version with a 106-horsepower 1.6-liter engine with a six-speed manual gearbox or automatic transmission.
Lada Iskra will be presented in sedan, station wagon, and Cross station wagon bodies. The Cross version features three headrests on the rear seat back, a multi-steering wheel from the Vesta model, power windows for all doors, air conditioning, and an audio system. The model will be released in four colors — gray, brown, crimson, and white.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that photos of the latest Lada Iskra appeared before the start of mass production.
