Train No. 98 Kislovodsk — Tynda and train No. 375 Neryungri — Novosibirsk will arrive at their destination with a delay after the accident in Buryatia. According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the region, on January 12, 22 empty freight carriages derailed at the Angarakan station in the Muysky district.
There were no casualties or injuries. But when the carriages derailed, the track gauge was broken, and the contact network was also damaged. Trains cannot run on this section now. To eliminate the consequences of the emergency, two emergency recovery trains from Taksimo and Severobaikalsk were sent to the Angarakan station.
Currently, train No. 98 Kislovodsk — Tynda has been returned to the Severobaikalsk station, where passengers will be provided with meals. Train crew members provide comprehensive assistance and support to passengers. A comfortable temperature regime is maintained in the carriages. Information about delays is received by passengers waiting at stations and train stations via SMS messages. A delay is also expected for train No. 375 Neryungri — Novosibirsk.
Investigators of the Eastern MSUT of the Investigative Committee of Russia have already initiated a criminal case under Part 1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of traffic safety rules and operation of railway transport"). Investigators and forensic investigators are working at the site of the derailment, establishing the circumstances of the incident and the amount of damage. It is known that 250 meters of track, three supports and 100 meters of contact network were damaged.
