Russian military personnel have mounted an anti-tank missile system (ATGM) on a buggy. Thanks to this solution, they can move quickly and successfully carry out tasks to destroy enemy equipment and fortifications.
Moving to a firing position at a speed of 60–70 km/h, the Kornet crew attacks the target within 15–20 seconds, and then quickly returns to the point of temporary deployment. Because of this, it becomes very difficult to detect the buggy.
The defeat of enemy UAVs is mainly carried out from dominant heights, where a direct line of sight is established between the launcher and the target at a distance of 8–10 km.
Technical characteristics of the Kornet ATGM:
- Missile caliber — 152 mm
- Firing range — 100–5500 m
- Control system — semi-automatic, laser beam guided
- Armor penetration of a HEAT warhead — 1000–1200 mm
- Launcher reloading time — 30 s
Earlier, www1.ru reported that the Kornet is capable of performing the role of an air defense system thanks to the unique 9M133FM-3 missile.
