The "Malachite" Design Bureau (part of USC) presented a project of an individual diver tow tractor (IDTT). It is designed to transport a diver in underwater and surface positions in fresh and sea water. This was reported by the corporation's press service.
The IDTT is implemented on the basis of a combination of an internal spatial frame, made in the form of a welded structure made of aluminum profile, and an external cold-cured fiberglass hull, the shape of which reduces hydrodynamic resistance.
A navigation module, hydroacoustic communication equipment, and a powerful battery can be installed on the IDTT. The purpose of the tow tractor is search and rescue and industrial work, underwater excursions.
As noted in USC, the first individual tow tractors were produced in the USSR in the 1950s. At that time, the "Proteus" IDTT line was produced.
Features of the IDTT from the "Malachite" Design Bureau:
- Length — 1.8 m
- Width in working position — 0.75 m
- Weight — 100 kg
- Battery capacity — 150 AH
- Speed — 3 m/c
- Range — 43 km
