"Avtodor" toll rates increased from March 2: how much more expensive is travel on highways

Minimum increase on the M-12 highway, maximum in the Moscow region. The growth ranged from 3.5% to 15%

The state company «Avtodor» has changed the cost of travel on toll roads under its jurisdiction since March 2. The adjustment affected all classes of transport — from passenger cars to heavy trucks.

According to the operator, the cost of travel increased in the range from 3.5% to 15%. The specific figure depends on the section of the road and its congestion. Representatives of the company noted that the indexation is associated with the need to maintain infrastructure and develop a network of high-speed highways.

The smallest increase was recorded on the M-12 highway. On the section from Kazan to Yekaterinburg, tariffs increased by only 3.5%.

The maximum increase affected drivers in the Moscow region. On the 33–66th kilometer of the M-1 highway, the cost of travel increased by 15%.

Despite the general increase, «Avtodor» retained the same prices on a number of socially significant sections. The company's management decided not to carry out indexation where roads perform the function of bypassing settlements. Tariffs remained unchanged in the following areas:

  • Bypasses of Nizhnekamsk and Naberezhnye Chelny;
  • Five bypasses of settlements in Bashkortostan on the M-12 highway (Isametovo, Verkhneyarkeyevo, Layashty, Ishkarovo, Asyanovo);
  • Section from the 65th to the 86th kilometer of the M-3 highway in the Moscow region.

For commercial carriers and private drivers, the new tariffs mean a revision of transport costs. Technical support for high-level roads requires constant funding, but a 15% increase in prices in certain areas may affect the choice of routes.

«Avtodor» emphasized that they still tried to balance the tariff grid. In some directions, the burden on the drivers' budget remained minimal, especially in regions where toll duplicates are critical for unloading local roads.
