The energy system of the Admiral Nakhimov nuclear-powered missile cruiser of Project 11442M has been fully tested, and the ship is preparing for trials. This was announced by the General Director of Sevmash, Mikhail Budnichenko.
According to him, the modernization of the ship was one of the most important tasks for the enterprise. In 2024, the installation was completed on the \"Admiral Nakhimov\" and the operability of the main energy and auxiliary equipment was checked for its intended purpose.
Interdepartmental tests of individual systems and complexes of the ship are being carried out. It will be transferred to the Russian Navy after passing factory sea trials and state tests.
The cruiser \"Admiral Nakhimov\" has been under repair since 1999. The main result of the cruiser's modernization will be the strengthening of its strike power. It is expected that the ship will carry Kalibr-NK or Onyx cruise missiles, as well as Zircon hypersonic missiles.
