Motorinvest plans to launch welding and painting operations for cars with meager sales. So far, sales are at the level of 2020 units per year, and this is the total volume for 2023, and the situation may worsen in 2024. From January to September, the company sold only 1127 electric vehicles.
Recently, Motorinvest co-owner Andrey Reznikov stated that welding and painting work was planned at the Lipetsk plant in 2024. Now the plans have changed. The implementation of the idea has been postponed for a year.
To do full-cycle assembly with such sales is economic nonsense.
At the end of September 2022, the production of electric vehicles under the Evolute brand began at the Motorinvest plant, located in the Lipetsk region. This is the first Russian manufacturer of electric vehicles.
Earlier, experts calculated the cost of owning an Evolute i-Jet electric crossover. It turned out that it would cost 3.28 million rubles to maintain an electric car for five years. At the same time, the price of the car is from 4.7 million rubles.
