Космическая скорость: отечественные инженеры разработали аппарат для связи спутников с Землёй

The unit is compact and can fit even on small satellites

Specialists from the company "Sputnix" have created unique equipment that allows data to be transmitted from satellites to Earth. The device weighs no more than 15 kilograms.

The high-speed X-band radio link allows data to be transmitted from the spacecraft's data collection equipment at a speed of 600 – 1750 Mbit/s.

Specialists were able to create a unit of optimal dimensions, which can be placed on board various spacecraft, including even small ones.

In addition, the equipment created by the company's specialists will help speed up the serial production of satellites and reduce the cost of their manufacture. The company's goal was to create a universal device that could be used both in spacecraft of Russian companies and in foreign ones.

The company also created a 3U "ArcticSat" satellite. Its task is to study how space weather affects satellites in the polar regions. It also wants to learn how to collect and process information about the movement of ships in the waters of the Northern Sea Route.

Earlier it became known that "Sputnix" will launch 28 satellites into orbit. They will be sent into space as a payload along with the "Ionosphere-M" No. 1 and No. 2 spacecraft to help test the latest technologies.
